4. Validating descriptions

The validation of descriptions is part of the consistency check (section 1): it must be done at that stage, right after assignment and before setting the trip file to OM VALIDATE.

The Travel Library provides default descriptions (e.g. an excursion to Avignon and Saint-Rémy from Aix-en-Provence). They are a starting point, not an absolute truth, and may not fit the specific trip — e.g. a market held five days a week but not on the day the excursion is scheduled.
The Operations Manager validates the description against reliable sources: official tourist board websites, museum websites, Google or guidebooks.
